Crashes in Broward
The Florida rules do not change across the county line. Report a crash immediately where there is injury, death or apparent damage of at least $500; get medical attention within 14 days or PIP pays no medical benefits at all; and file suit within two years for a negligence claim.

Arrests in Broward
First appearance is within 24 hours of arrest, as everywhere in Florida, and the case file lives with the Broward County Clerk of Courts. Bail for many offenses can be posted under the Supreme Court's statewide uniform bond schedule before a first appearance.
