The deadlines do not change north of the county line
Florida law is statewide. A crash involving injury, death or apparent damage of at least $500 must be reported immediately; PIP pays no medical benefits at all unless initial treatment happens within 14 days; and a negligence or wrongful-death suit must be filed within two years.
On the criminal side, first appearance is within 24 hours of arrest anywhere in Florida, bail for many offenses can be posted under the Supreme Court's statewide uniform bond schedule, and since 1 July 2025 the speedy trial clock runs from the filing of formal charges rather than from arrest. What changes across the county line is the courthouse, the clerk and the investigating agency — not the clock.
